Purdue Foundation Student Board serves as an ambassador to Purdue University’s philanthropic initiatives and as stewards to alumni and donors. In this unique organization, members develop impactful leadership through building lasting relationships and creating opportunities.

|
What is the Purdue for Life Foundation?
|
The Purdue for Life Foundation is an integrated advancement organization that encompasses the Purdue Alumni Association; the University Development Office, which includes President’s Council and the John Purdue Club; and alumni lifetime learning programs. Purdue for Life’s mission is to deepen alumni ties to the University and to drive and coordinate all alumni-related activities across the Purdue family’s post-graduation lives, while also working with alumni and friends to garner support for the institution.

“Why Give?” is a celebration of private giving and aims to spread awareness to the student body about the importance of philanthropy in higher education.

Come celebrate Boilermakers past and present during this weekend's homecoming events. Connect with clubs, organizations and alumni over food and football.

About Tushar...
As President, Tushar leads the Executive Board by shaping PFSB's mission and vision, overseeing member selection, and facilitating meetings.
Outside of his involvements in PFSB, Tushar currently serves as Vice President of the College of Pharmacy Student Council, and has previously served as the student council’s committee service chair. He also currently serves as Vice President of Purdue MEDLIFE, having previously served as fundraising chair. Tushar plays violin in the Purdue Philharmonic Orchestra and with a small chamber ensemble.

About the Shields...
Randy, a 20-year McDonald’s Franchisee in Indianapolis, has held leadership roles in various boards and was a student athlete at Purdue, playing for the Men’s Basketball team.
Linda manages the banking, healthcare, and billing aspects of their McDonald’s business and has been pivotal in its growth for over two decades; she was also active in Purdue's campus life and served as the President of the Indianapolis Zoo Guild.
Together, this past month, they were honored with the President’s Council Distinguished Pinnacle Award for their generosity to Purdue University. This prestigious honor is bestowed on those whose philanthropic contributions have significantly impacted the university.

The Philanthropy Committee aims to highlight the significance of private donations and philanthropy to students.
Through the “Why Give” initiative and Purdue Day of Giving, students learn about the impact of private donations on campus.
The committee supports student groups during Purdue Day of Giving with resources and strategies for successful fundraising.
Through the enhanced PFSB SOAR program, student organizations can strengthen their alumni relations, with forthcoming workshops and resources on the PFSB website.

The Recruitment & Outreach Committee leads the recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development efforts for PFSB.
|
|
|
|
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee focuses on educating current members for inclusivity and expanding PFSB's reach to diverse campus areas.
Their broader aim is to diversify Purdue's donor base and ensure varied organizations benefit from private giving. The committee emphasizes both diverse recruitment and fostering an inclusive environment.

Marketing and Communication
|
|
The Marketing & Communications Committee oversees member communication, alumni outreach, and social media, focusing on content creation, post analysis, and enhancing PFSB visibility.
The committee also has the privilege of developing the marketing plan to celebrate the 40th anniversary of PFSB!
|
|
|
|
Events connects PFSB with the University Development Office, communicates upcoming events to members, and cultivates community within PFSB through social gatherings.
These events include dinners and tailgates with alumni and donors with special guests like President Mung Chang.
|
Tailgates
Members of the President's Council have access to special pregame tailgates before home football games, where they can enjoy a meal, music, and the company of their fellow PC members. Members of PFSB assist the Special Events Team with managing the tailgate and socialize with the PC members.
|
Building Dedications
Members of PFSB get to assist the Special Events Team in managing different building dedications through out the year by setting up, tearing down, and assisting with each ceremony.
|
Annual Dinner
A formal dinner to honor the continuous generosity of the President's Council members, PFSB members assist the Special Events Team with running and managing the event. It provides the opportunity for members to network with successful Purdue alumni and friends.

|
Purdue Day of Giving raised $110.8 Million with over 27,000 individual gifts last year!
